The epidemiological period, beginning in July, totals 87 notifications of epizootic diseases: 11 were confirmed as the death of monkeys infected by yellow fever; 32 were discarded; 35 are identified as indeterminate and 9 are under investigation. In a follow-up on epizootic yellow fever in monkeys in Paraná state, Brazil, The State Department of Health confirmed eight deaths of monkeys from infection with the yellow fever virus Wednesday. The cases occurred in Clevelândia (2), Coronel Domingos Soares (3) and Mangueirinha (1) and Cruz Machado (2). Image/CIA Since July 1, Paraná officials note eleven cases are being investigated, 32 occurred for undetermined causes, another 30 were ruled out and 8 were confirmed for yellow fever. Regarding the cases of yellow fever in humans in this seasonal period, the technical area reports that 10 cases were reported through Wednesday. None of them were confirmed, nine notifications were discarded and one case is still under investigation in the municipality of Curitiba. ....
