Mansfield hotel slated to open despite delay installing traffic light

MANSFIELD – The new Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites will be allowed to open this month even though the traffic signal required for the project has been delayed.
The hotel is part of Reservoir Landing, a Crugnale Properties project located near the Route 140 ramp and Interstate 495 directly across from the Xfinity Center.
In approving a special permit for Reservoir Landing, the Planning Board required Crugnale Properties to construct a traffic signal at the intersection of South Main Street (Route 140) and Reservoir.
The permit requires the light to be operational before the hotel can be issued an occupancy permit. ....
