Vantage point near the o hare the toll road 294, traffic coming through building up at times, and it s been slowing down here and there, too, when the rain gets heavier. ironically enough over at o hare a very very short distance as the crow fly, planes are still taking off and landing despite the thunderstorms rolling through over the last several minutes. that s been the scenario we had this morning. what s interesting is that later on today what we expect is possibly a little clearing. we re not talking about a total really dry air coming through, because dew points remain high. moisture content in the atmosphere is there and could bealities sunshine. a few breaks in the clouds that will cause things to heat up a bit, to help it destabilize. the low comes through, man, by the afternoon, could see more thunderstorm activity possibly large hail damaging winds, maybe even tornadic activity. my friends and yours bill karins is coming up shortly gishing a better idea what to anticipate n ....
well, yes. we ladhad an ice storm here in 2008 and this woods is i was told last night that it was about 1,400 acres total but here i m probably two blocks from a minor high way highway. to know that the good lord was with her, if she had walked in the other direction, you probably would haven t found her for a week because she d be walking into just more woods. the ice storm knocked a lot of these trees down, i d say probably 20%, 30% of the trees knocked down so everywhere she walk shed had to detour. probably as the crow fly, maybe a quarter of a mile from where that plane crashed, but you couldn t walk in the a straight line. i d say she walk lead the quarters of a mile because she had a creek bed to go through, briar bushes to go around fallen trees to walk around. i ve said mitt times, i don t like to walk in that woods in ....
