MIDDLETOWN Cross Street AME Zion Church, 440 West St., will be offering a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for those who need their first or second shots Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Children 12 and older will be inoculated from 5 to 8 p.m. Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines will be given out.
Photo ID is required, people must wear masks, loose-fitting clothes and youth 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent and have an appointment. ....

MIDDLETOWN It’s “open season” for COVID-19 vaccines in Connecticut, and Middletown is at the forefront of distributing the shots with 30 percent of citizens getting at least their first dose, officials said Thursday.
The older population is boasting even better numbers with 94 percent of those 65 and older, and 84 percent of the 75 and older crowd, already having taken the first dose, according to Acting Health Director Kevin Elak, who conducted a Johnson & Johnson vaccine ....
