(Seguin) – Humans aren’t the only ones that need some extra bundling this week. Due to the freezing temperatures, the Etosha Rescue and Adoption Center, located on the city’s east end, is asking for a few items to help better protect their dogs and cats while in their crates.
Director Bonney Williams says the non-profit organization is seeking your old blankets, sheets or any other type of old bedding to better seal up the animal crates.
She says even with the weather expected to improve, these items are needed to better protect the animals during the evening when temperatures are still expected to dip lower. Plus, they are also needed to replace the blankets and other throws that have served their purpose during this historic winter storm. She says many of their thinner animals need the extra protection from the elements.
