Semi fire on infamous Tranquille Valley road highlights dangers for residents | iNFOnews

There was another vehicle incident on Tranquille-Criss Creek Road north of Kamloops overnight, a road that is particularly dangerous during winter driving conditions.
A photo was taken early this morning, Jan. 20, of a semi that had caught fire on the road and now crews are working to clear the road. No injuries have been reported.
Robert Grondberg, president of the Tranquille Valley Community Association, says it s been a particularly hard year because of the fluctuating temperatures causing slick ice build up.
We ve had over 70 cars go off the road this year, and a helicopter has had to come rescue drivers at least seven times, Grondberg said. ....
