Some construction activities had been halted after arsenic, lead and mercury were detected in soil at lot 103, lot 86 and a drainage pond in Cressmoor.
The developer of a Hobart subdivision who faced daily fines for not cleaning up contaminated soil on a new homeowner’s property kept up his end of the bargain.
There already has been residential construction in the subdivision, south of 37th Avenue and east of Wisconsin Street, but Hobart isn’t allowing any other impervious surfaces to be created there.
PUD amendments and replatting the subdivision have been discussed during recent months after home builder D.R. Horton became involved in the Cressmoor project.
