How the coronavirus pandemic has impacted education at Penn State one year later

In March 2020, students’ and teachers’ lives around the world were suddenly impacted in a way nobody could have foreseen. Approximately one year ago, students were sent home from Penn State for two weeks, which would later turn into the remainder of the spring semester. With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, education has become reliant on online platforms, and this has proven difficult for teachers and students alike. Some students returned in the fall with a majority of online classes and came back again late this spring for another semester that is mostly online. The structure of student Eva Blankenhorn’s classes was severely affected with the switch to Zoom learning.

TEDxPSU Announces 2021 Theme and Conference Speakers

University Park, PA – Penn State University will host its 11th annual TEDxPSU conference, an engaging experience for students, faculty, and the community, on Sunday, March 6th, 2021 at 1pm. The conference will be held virtually, and the TEDxPSU team is working hard to bring Schwab Auditorium to the virtual stage. The event is free and open to the public. This year’s theme, “Time To Pause,” emphasizes that we as human beings are a busy species. TEDxPSU: Time to Pause is a space to pause our bustling lives and reflect on new ideas. TEDxPSU: Time To Pause will feature 11 ground-breaking and innovative speakers:
