The weather has sure been in the extremes this past week. Heat, hail, torrential rains, wind, you name it, it’s been in the region. All on the same day in the same place in some.
The Peace River Regional District has expanded the evacuation order for Red Creek and Stoddart Creek areas due to the severity of the nearby wildfires.
The grass is sure trying to come on since the sun came out and the snow stopped. I’ve heard there have been some fires already in drier areas, which is awfully early. Also, one fire.
Labor Day and it s festivities are behind us now, so we must be on the count down toward fall. It s been hot enough that it has us looking forward to cool weather, that s for sure.
