Auto ancillaries revenue, profitability to improve in FY22: Ind-Ra

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Mar 13 (ANI): India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has revised its outlook for the auto ancillary sector to improving for FY22 from negative.
It has also revised the outlook on its rated portfolio to stable from negative. The agency previously expected the sector revenues to record a 16 to 20 per cent year-on-year decline in FY21 followed by a recovery of 12 to 15 per cent in FY22.
However, with a strong 3Q FY21 and likelihood of sustained demand in coming quarters, Ind-Ra now expects the revenue decline to be limited to 10 to 12 per cent in FY21 followed by a recovery of 18 to 20 per cent in FY22. ....

M'sian firms have better ability to repay debt

Although half of the companies listed on Bursa Malaysia still reported weaker earnings in the third quarter of last year (Q3) which stood at minus 0.8% year-on-year (y-o-y) compared to minus 33% in Q2, their debt protection metrics remained intact.
PETALING JAYA: Malaysian firms have stronger debt protection metrics or ability to service debt obligations compared with their Asean counterparts, according to RAM Ratings.
RAM Ratings’ analyst, Han Ting Ting, told StarBiz, “Our broader analysis of corporates in Asean-6 reveals that Malaysian firms have stronger debt protection metrics than their Asean peers”.
Asean-6 here refers to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. ....

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 16 (ANI): The sustained strength of marketing margins and recovering demand for petroleum products is supporting the profitability of India s oil marketing companies against weak gross refining margins (GRMs), thereby lowering downside risks for their credit metrics, according to Fitch Ratings.
Petroleum product sales at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) surged by 22 to 23 per cent in the third quarter of the financial year ending March 2021 (3Q FY21) from the previous quarter with domestic transportation fuel demand recovering to near-normal levels, barring aircraft fuel, and marketing margins on auto fuel sustained at above pre-pandemic levels. ....
