Creation Station Art Center in North Canton teaches art to old, young

NORTH CANTON – Cathy Lerario was at a flea market when she saw a broken mirror next to a trash container.
The stand-up, oval-shaped mirror was ready to be discarded and forgotten, but she saw artistic potential in the castoff.
I took (the glass) out and I painted the frame, Lerario recalled. And I used (a chalkboard) where the mirror should be, so it s a blackboard really instead of being a mirror.
Now she writes messages on the improvised chalkboard, including art class times at Creation Station Art Center, which she owns and opened earlier this month at 842 S. Main St. in North Canton. ....
