Budget Direct has released the latest instalment in the Insurance Solved saga, showing Sarge, Jacs, and dog Chief.
The work, via 303 MullenLowe and titled The Evidence of Excellence sees Sarge crack the case on why Australians are switching to Budget Direct.
In the 30-second spot, the trio avoids traps to navigate their way into a hidden basement. Once in, they find a safe with robots stacking the shelves with the numerous awards Budget Direct has won. Amongst the spot are easter eggs referencing previous episodes.
Jonathan Kerr, chief growth officer at Budget Direct, said: “Finding a way to shine a bright light on Budget Direct’s leadership in independent insurance awards, that also sat well in our Insurance Solved narrative, was loads of fun and we are absolutely delighted with the outcome.”

POTSDAM For the second year in a row, Craig Merrett, assistant professor of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Clarkson University, has been recently recognized by Nepris as one of its Top Volunteers.
Nepris is an educational service provider that connects K-12 classrooms in remote or underserved areas with industry professionals across the country. Merrett got involved with Nepris when he arrived at Clarkson in 2016. Merrett and the other top volunteers have collectively conducted 161 sessions in 2020, impacting thousands of kids.
“I am delighted to be recognized as one of Nepris’ Top Volunteers again. Interacting with students across the country has been a lot of fun, and provides an opportunity to share my passion for aerospace engineering with K-12 students,” Merrett said.
POTSDAM â With an $800,000 grant from the Office of Naval Research Advanced Naval Platforms Division, Clarkson University Prof. Marcias Martinez (Principal Investigator) and Prof. Craig Merrett (Co-PI) from the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in collaboration with Prof. Sumona Mondal (Co-PI) from the Department of Mathematics will begin work on developing mathematical physics-based models for determining the time to failure of bonded joints.
Adhesive-bonded joints are of interest for use in connection of U.S. Navy aircraft and vessel structural components. However, these joints are not currently in use, despite their potential benefits. Mechanical joints are most commonly used, but these joints are known to produce stress concentration regions, moisture ingress areas, and increased structural weight. Reliable, adhesively bonded joints, with no metal fasteners, would reduce structural weight and the manufacturing and operational costs of Navy assets. Widesp
