According to the marin county sheriffs office, 42 year old wouter van lier was last seen on angel island around 1 am monday. Hes described as being a white male, 6 feet tall with brown hair and blue eyes. Van lier was apparently camping on angel island with his wife and friends. He had also docked his boat in ayala cove, which is where he was last seen. His wife reported him missing around 6 am when they couldnt find him. Search and rescue crews from multiple agencies spent the day looking for van lier. This is video of the search from our helicopter partnership with abc 7 news. State park rangers along with search teams from marin, san mateo, and Contra Costa County arrived to help. The coast guard also deployed boats and a helicopter to assist. It is a very nice night here in marin county, county not bad weather to spend a night on angel island, and they will continue to search tomorrow pam burning the late night oil. Barts ....

East County Today reports that firefighters responded to a call of a boat on fire at the marina at 10:04 p.m. The owner of the vessel, who reportedly lives and sleeps on the boat, could not be accounted for. The man s vehicle was located in the marina s parking lot, which heightened concerns over his condition. “The boat was fully involved when the first engine arrived on scene,” East Contra Costa Fire Battalion Chief Craig Auzenne told KPIX. “They were able to extinguish the fire…The hull is still intact so its still floating.” ....
