NCP vs NCP: The ECI acceded the Sharad Pawar faction's first preference as the name of the group as a one-time option for the Rajya Sabha elections. They may later have to get registered as a new party with a new name, ECI sources said
After the meeting, Praful Patel said the breakaway faction of the NCP once again requested Sharad Pawar to keep the party united. "He listened to us but did not say anything," Patel added
Jitendra Awhad and Jayant Patil from the faction supporting Sharad Pawar were also present during the meeting. “The NCP ministers apologised for the incidents and requested Pawar saheb to find a way out of it. He did not reply to their requests,” Patil said.
