Last week the world’s least surprising news broke – Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte are learning to ride, and reportedly have their own ponies. Of course. The royal family is almost congenitally horsey. “It’s a bit like acting,” says Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine. “If you have a horsey family, it goes down the generations, just like actors’ children often become actors. The opportunities are all there – it would be unusual if at least some of them didn’t really go for it.”
