The picture above is that of the city bus stand constructed at Kuvempunagar at a cost of over Rs. 18 crore and most under-utilised as all the floors are empty.
These vacant floors are neither used by ksrtc nor let out to anyone earning revenue. The District Administration can utilise this building as Covid Seva Kendra to initially treat patients with mild symptoms and gradually convert it as a full-fledged Hospital.
The bus stand can easily be cordoned off as the buses can bypass and reach Vivekananda Circle which is within 100 meters distance.
