It’s no secret that some people stopped taking precautions against COVID-19 ages ago. With infections now at a fairly low level, a growing number say their lives have returned to normal.
Nineteen Illinois counties now are at the highest transmission level, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. That s up from 15 such counties last week and eight the week before that.
