CHENNAI: ChildFund India, in collaboration with Project HOPE, a global health and humanitarian aid group, has organised various initiatives to help vulnerable communities in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana cope with the Covid-19 pandemic. Project HOPE and ChildFund India aim at ensuring availability of basic medical equipment at local health care centres, which serve as Covid care centres, in the highly vulnerable districts of these states, assist frontline workers with PPE and medical essential kits and improve access, affordability, and accessibility of the Covid-19 vaccination and related materials for all vulnerable groups. ChildFund India’s overall efforts are aimed at reaching one million people, including children, across 15 states/UTs through vaccination drive and support at least 10 million people through overall response. Bengaluru: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers DV Sadananda Gowda today sought to know whether people in the government should hang themselves for their failure to produce vaccines as was directed by the court. The court has with good intention said everyone in the country should get vaccinated. I want to ask you, if the court says tomorrow that you have to give this much (of vaccine), if it has not been produced yet, should we hang ourselves? Mr Gowda told reporters in Bengaluru.
