+ January 12, 2021 CORONAVIRUS infections in the Philippines jumped past 490,000 on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, as the Department of Health (DOH) recorded 1,524 new cases.
Davao City, with 137 new infections, posted the highest number of new cases for the second day in a row while Cebu City landed on the list again with 51 new cases.
Davao City was followed by Quezon City (109), Rizal (92) and Davao del Norte (53). Cebu City had the fifth highest number of new infections.
