. thank you so much for joining us to night. and now we report on the eve of the arraignment of a former president. tomorrow marks the first court hearing in this case, new york versus donald trump, defendant this is the legal process which compelled trum topp to come to w york today from florida because he had to. the only alternative would have been resisting arrest and making the nypd come get him which they re capable of doing for any defendant. tomorrow trump goes downtown and like any citizen or any criminal defendant, he ll surrender, temporarily, to the custody of the lawful authorities there we know a bit about that process. the fingerprinting, booking, and like anyone, afforded rights and given an opportunity to enter a plea authorities ramped up security including thousands of members of nypd that are on a stand ready order. but lately donald trump has been trying to promote and fundraise off the charges and it s worth recalling tonight as we know more than we us
inside the room, along with the transcript of his testimony, donald trump on the stand sounds a lot like donald trump everywhere else. the judge will rule against me because he will always rule against me, quote. he called me a fraud, and he didn t know anything about me. quote. people don t know how good a company i ve built because people like you are going around demeaning me, and i think it s hurting america. quote. you and every other democrat coming after me from 15 different sides, all haters. quote. this is a very unfair trial, very unfair. i hope the public is watching. quote. roughly half an hour into donald trump taking the stand, judge engoron repeatedly admonished the president, asking him to stop rambling and answer the questions. he s gone to trump s lawyers and told them to get a handle on their client. they declined. alina habba said she wouldn t dare violate a client s free speech. when donald trump did answer questions, our legal analysts in the courts say

other people are going to see them this is simply an arraignment. the first time ever a united states former united states president who has been charged with a crime. yep professor? well, i think you make really perfect points i think we know that the judge is that he is not one to deviate from second protocols. he runs astraight forward courtroom. he s very much into courtroom management f this is not a standard practice in new york state, and it s not, i don t know that he is going deviate from that simply because this is a historical occasion. certainly there are equities in the balance that might make it a good idea to do so but again, he seems like a straight shooter here. i can t see him deviating from that but everything else, i think, is straight up. this is going to be a situation where it s the judge in control. and control of the courtroom, ultimately going to be in control of the jury. and then it s going to be in the jury s hands, not anyone else s. so trump has the p
