They’ve each worked with students at NBA star LeBron James’ I PROMISE elementary school in Akron, Ohio, with the Young Storytellers initiative.
Young Storytellers is an organization designed to spark creative self-discovery through storytelling. The programs highlight young people as the center of their own narratives, emphasize that their stories matter, and celebrate their unique voices as the ones telling them.

Working collaboratively in small groups, students from James’ I PROMISE elementary school, work with a pair mentors to write stories inspired by their own imaginations and experiences. Each week, for six weeks, volunteers are leading a small group of students to create and develop these wonderful scripts. ....
