POSCO International and Lotte Energy Materials signed a memorandum of understanding, Wednesday, regarding the former’s supply of 600,000 tons of copper to the latter over the next 10 years. The copper will be used to make foil that covers anode materials in rechargeable batteries.
Lotte Energy Materials said Tuesday that it aims to become the global leader in the high-end copper foil market by increasing its market share to 30 percent by 2028.
