“你的童年在哪里？”这是张秋萍不经意间对身边人的一次“采访”。当被高楼和围墙“圈禁”的城市孩子，童年不在大自然，而是在电脑、手机和网游里，不知道粮食、蔬菜从哪里来时，教育又怎么能培养出胸怀世界、德智体美劳全面发展的人才？
于是，张秋萍下定决心从耕读教育做起。2012年，省实幼将目光投向了拥有丰富农耕资源的乡村，利用农村土地流转承租了222亩土地作为耕读教育的探索实践基地，基于中原农耕文化建设了耕读苑，取自“耕读传家久，诗书继世长”，开辟了农事劳作、畜禽养殖、田野游戏、研学实践、生活保障等空间，开启了亲近自然、亲近土地、亲近生命的耕读教育尝试。
2014年，耕读苑正式投入使用。老师们第一次到耕读苑时，有的戴着大墨镜、有的帽子盖着头、有的穿着雨胶鞋……张秋萍惊呆了，老师� ....
