Mihir Konkapaka, 12, is studying at least four hours a day sometimes via a computer program he wrote himself to get ready for Scripps National Spelling Bee in D.C.
The San Diego Union-Tribune is hosting the 52nd annual Countywide Spelling Bee virtually on Thursday, March 17, 2022. The Countywide Spelling Bee is open to 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade students in a public or private school with a combined enrollment of 30 or more children. The winner will be awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion, and will receive an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
