A Georgia family is mourning the “heartbreaking” loss of their 11-year-old daughter, who was killed when she tried heroically to rescue her puppy during a fire that destroyed their home.
Katelynn Simmons, 11, died on Saturday night in a house fire after she ran back in to save her puppy Little Man. Firefighters located Katelynn upstairs but it was too late to save her and the dog.
