May 5, 2021 WARREN The former Liberty schools superintendent accused of bugging a school district office was arraigned this morning on six felonies and five misdemeanors connected to an investigation by the state auditor’s and Trumbull County Prosecutor’s offices. Joseph Nohra, 49, of Topper Hill Drive, Hubbard, appeared with his attorney David Betras and pleaded not guilty to six counts of interception of wire, oral or electronic communications and five counts of interfering with civil rights. Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice released Nohra on a personal bond, but he was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs as deputies took him to the county jail to be booked.

Apr 7, 2021 WARREN The defense in the rape trial of a 41-year-old Liberty man offered no evidence and called no witnesses this morning before attorneys for both sides presented closing arguments to the jury. The team for defendant Theodore J. Fecko III reiterated to the jury that no DNA evidence was presented to support accusations that Fecko digitally raped a 12-year-old girl the Ray Court home of his mother on July 23, 2020. Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice is about to give members of the jury final instructions before handing the case over to them to deliberate. If found guilty, Fecko could get a life prison sentence.
