Established in 2000, the Madison County PEP Grant will soon hand out $1.11 million in funding for various park and recreation projects around the county. Money for the grants come from a one-tenth of one percent sales tax. The Madison County Board will vote on the issue on April 21.
Madison County Community Development Administrator Dave Tanzyus tells The Big Z there was a nice variety of projects submitted this year.

Riverbend projects include money for the Rotary Field renovation in Wood River, basketball court reconstruction in South Roxana, new mowers in Hartford, and money for Glazebrook Park’s continues upgrades in Godfrey. You can find a complete list of projects awarded PEP Grant funding below. ....
