Chinese President Xi Jinping met Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on November 3 in Beijing where the two leaders agreed to upgrade bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Hassan is the first African head of state received by China after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the visit fully demonstrated that closeness of China-Tanzania relations and the important status of China-Africa ties in China s overall diplomacy.
At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Samia Suluhu Hassan, president of the United Republic of Tanzania, will pay a state visit to China from November 2 to November 4, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday.
