A Leon Valley city councilman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting the police chief just days before the council is set to meet in a closed session to discuss the chief’s employment status.
City Councilor Josh Stevens said he never initiated contact in the altercation more than a year ago with Police Chief Joe Salvaggio. Stevens, 30, is one of at least two vocal critics of Salvaggio on the council. ....
