"On April 22, the board will vote on a final decision, and let me say that Cathedral City will be very happy with the decision," COD Board Chair Ruben Perez said.
“For more than a year now, thousands of families throughout Coachella Valley have lost their jobs or had their work hours drastically reduced due to the effects of COVID-19,” Ross said. “This rental assistance program is for both those who are behind as well as those struggling to pay their rent due to these dire circumstances.”
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted in February to approve $57.3 million in emergency rental assistance program funding from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Landlords with tenants with unpaid debt balances are encouraged to notify their tenants about the program.
