The Stone Mountain City Council met on Sept. 5 and voted to postpone approval of a budget amendment moving $10,000 within the general fund from the cemetery lawn care account to the buildings and grounds landscaping account.
In response to the city council’s Feb. 7 decision to limit public comments during meetings, the Stone Mountain City council passed a motion at its Feb. 22 meeting to eliminate the overall time limit for public comments.
In a three-hour meeting on Jan. 10, the Stone Mountain city council heard three presentations for contracts and approved two, approved qualifying fees for upcoming municipal elections, and continued an ongoing discussion of “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive” street toppers before approving their purchase.
