Residents of Helston are to see a further rise in their council tax bill from April onwards - despite one councillor declaring It s just not right. Heston Town Council has now agreed its budget for the 2021/22 financial year, which will be £557,740. Town clerk Chris Dawson said that residents in a Band D property would see an increase of £11.65 per year - an 8.03 per cent rise on the council s portion of the current 2020/21 tax bill. The figures relate only to the amount the town council claims from the overall council tax charges made by Cornwall Council, which has announced an additional rise in its portion for the next financial year. ....
