GREENWICH, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a fisherman who saved two children from drowning in a lake in upstate New York so they can thank him.
The rescue happened Sunday in Cossayuna Lake in Washington County. The Times Union of Albany reports that a 10-year-old child fell out of a kayak shortly after 2:30 p.m.
A second 10-year-old was able to help the first child hang onto the kayak, but the children could not manage to swim or paddle themselves to shore, authorities said. Neither child was wearing a life jacket, the Washington County sheriff’s office said. ....

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify a fisherman who rescued two young boys on Cossayuna Lake Sunday.
Deputies say two ten-year-old boys were kayaking on the lake, when one of the boys fell off his kayak and into the water. They say the boy was not wearing a life jacket.
The other boy tried to help, and the child who fell in was able to hold onto the other kayak and stay above the water.
The boys tried to get back to shore, but they could not make it.
Thankfully, a fisherman nearby heard the kids yelling for help, and he or she was able to safely bring them back to shore. ....

GREENWICH The Washington County Sheriff s Office and the families of two 10-year-old boys are looking for a fisherman so they can thank him for saving one of the children from drowning Sunday in Cossayuna Lake.
A 10-year-old child in a kayak fell into the water around 2:37 p.m. Sunday, and another 10-year-old in a kayak was able to help the other child hang on to the boat. Neither child was wearing a life jacket, according to the sheriff s office. ....
