NewPointe opens new church in time for Easter There is 350 parking spots, an auditorium for 600 and wings for children and teens. Leadership feels this shows they have roots in Coshocton and it allows them serve the community better. NewPointe was previously housed at Coshocton Elementary School and has had a local branch for 8 years. COSHOCTON – Easter is all about rebirths and new beginnings and so it is for NewPointe Church. The congregation has officially moved into its new 35,000-square-foot facility on County Road 621, just inside Canal Lewisville. It includes 350 parking spots and seating capacity for up to 600 people in a state-of-the-art auditorium. It’s one of the largest church structures in Coshocton County. ....
Coshocton Board of DD presents Awareness Month awards Staff Report COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities recently presented awards related to Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Each year, the board typically hosts a DD Awareness Month luncheon to invite community leaders to highlight a different facet of programming. Due to COVID-19, the board had to cancel last year s event and will be foregoing the event this year as well. Since last year s ceremony was canceled at the last minute, awards were presented for this year and last. The board is planning on posting short videos to its Facebook page and images to Instagram throughout the month to highlight winners. ....
Coshocton County schools participate in coronavirus vaccination clinic MVHC administered first round Friday at Coshocton High School Mushkingum Valley Health Centers held a COVID-19 vaccination clinic Friday at Coshocton High School. About 450 doses were given to staff of Coshocton City, River View, Ridgewood, Career Center, Sacred Heart and Opportunity School. The second dose will be given at a similar style clinic in four weeks. MVHC will also be receiving about 500 doses for general administration in the county next week. COSHOCTON - Schools have been one of the areas most disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and a major step was taken Friday to return to some sort of normalcy regarding in-person instruction. ....
