Forty-two doctors in western Prince Edward Island have penned a letter outlining the ongoing failures to provide critical care in the province’s second-largest hospital.
Starting in late January, Summerside's Prince County Hospital will accept fewer critical-care patients due to a lack of staff in the progressive-care unit, says Health P.E.I.
The City of Summerside is allowing restricted use for a parcel of land for at 25 Frank Mellish Dr. for a 10-bed emergency shelter, but the province is not being given a carte blanche.
