Two terrorists were killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Wanigam Payeen Kreeri area of Baramulla after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists there.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the security forces were fired upon.
Chinar Corps-Indian Army in a tweet said, “Op Wanigam Payeen, #Pattan Jt Operation was launched today morning based on own sources. Cordon was laid. Appeals for surrender were made. Firefight ensued. 2 terrorists eliminated. Following were recovered-01 x AK, 01 x Pistol, 03 x Grenade. Jt Operation in progress.”
