The meeting was live-streamed on youTube and on the County website. Chair Thomas Broeker and supervisors Bob Beck and Jim Cary were joined by a handful of department heads. Pierce County commissioners elect 2021 officers By Sue Sitter - | Dec 12, 2020 Pierce County commissioners elected David Migler and Ashley Berg as chair and vice-chair for the 2021 term in their regular meeting held Dec. 1. Migler, who serves as the current board chair, represents Pierce County District 5, while Berg represents Pierce County District 3. The board approved both with a unanimous vote. The commissioners heard from Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center Administrator Mike Graner, who presented financial and other information from the jail. Graner told the commissioners the facility saw a $104,189.10 deficit for the month of October. The inmate population for November ranged between 75 and 91 inmates, he noted. The jail booked 12 inmates in November, and 11 remained in custody during the month.
