SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) As coronavirus vaccinations continue, employers will need to start planning whether to bring back workers to the office, let them continue with remote work, or implement a hybrid of the two models.

Tulare County moves into red tier, Kings County remains in purple, state health officials say

But only one made the jump.
Tulare County met the metrics to move from the purple, or widespread risk tier, to the red, or substantial risk tier.
Kings County remains in purple, despite the state s indication last week it could move to red as well.
All other Valley counties are still in purple except Mariposa, which is in the orange, or moderate risk category.
In Tulare County, businesses are getting ready to enter the red tier, including Maximo s Taqueria.
The restaurant finally opened its doors in Downtown Visalia during the winter surge of COVID-19 cases.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) On March 15, 4.4 million Californians 16 to 64 years old with per-existing health conditions will be prioritized for COVID-19 vaccines.
For the past month Charis Hill, a disabled activist, has been counting down the days to March 15.

When we last talked to Charis the state had just released the list of underlying health conditions that qualified under this new expansion. Charis s chronic disease was not on the list, but if you keep scrolling down, the list allows for medical doctors to use their best clinical judgement. Last 2 Bay Area counties Contra Costa, Sonoma to move into less restrictive red tier

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) Sonoma County and Contra Costa County will be eligible to move into the red tier beginning Sunday, according to state health officials.
They are the last of the nine Bay Area counties to descend into the less restrictive tier which allows for things like indoor dining, indoor gyms and movie theaters with capacity limitations.
The inside dining room with people is really the heart and soul of a restaurant, said Kevin Weinberg, co-owner and chef at the Walnut Creek Yacht Club.
He said he is looking forward to getting people back inside, even as they have created three outdoor dining areas. ....

Newsom says state about to hit vaccination target, letting most SoCal counties shift to red tier

LOS ANGELES (KABC) Los Angeles and other Southern California counties could move into the state s less restrictive red tier as soon as this weekend, allowing more businesses to reopen.
Gov. Gavin Newsom, at an event in South Gate, said the state is about to hit a key target that allows counties to accelerate their shifts to less-restrictive tiers.
The state has been working to improve vaccine distribution to the hardest-hit communities and set a goal of 2 million doses distributed to those communities as a metric for allowing more tier shifts. The state is expected to hit that 2 million mark by Friday. ....
