Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival 2021 to be virtual again

A unanimous decision has been made by the organisers of Falmouth’s International Sea Shanty Festival over this year s event.
In a joint statement issued this afternoon, they said that this year s event, due to take place on June 11 to 13 would instead take place over one day only, in virtual room.
This will be on Saturday, June 19 from 6pm and available to view live over Facebook and YouTube.
The organisers said: In respect of the current situation with coronavirus (Covid-19) and given that the festival normally attracts in excess of 65,000 people, it would not be feasible to go ahead with the physical plans for this year. ....

How to take part in Falmouth virtual Christmas event on Facebook

Falmouth’s Virtual Community Christmas will be taking place tonight (Friday) with a variety of people and organisations taking part.
Organised by the the Falmouth Town Team the event will be broadcast live on Falmouth’s official Facebook page @FalmouthCornwall and shared across other social channels from 6pm.
The evening will be streamed live on air from the Cornwall Channel Studios.
The programme will include recordings from local choirs and musicians, video messages of support, well wishes from residents, schools, volunteer and church groups as well as competitions.
A lot of businesses in the town have recorded things to be broadcast as part of it, along with schools in the town including Marlborough, as well as others further afield, with Flushing School submitting something as well as Four Lanes Choir. ....
