In the air there s a feeling of Christmas throughout Detroit s oldest neighborhood. Residents in some of Corktown s 19th century homes are making spirits bright on a dark year s longest nights. Eleven owners joined the Corktown Historical Society s third annual outdoor decor contest, which drew 133 online votes from neighbors. The three winners on Bagley, Labrosse and Cochrane streets were posted Sunday and will receive undisclosed prizes. They and sparkling runners-up are shown in seven more photos from the society, founded in 1979. ....
