Heard crashing. I thought it was an earthquake, so i went to a safe place. Then i realized, hmm, something more happened. I looked out the front window and saw what happened with the tree. Reporter they were cleared of the tree. Telling ktvu that she was in the back of the home away from where it came down. Happening around 12 45 this afternoon. Cal fire says when they first heard about it, they heard about people inside that home. Fortunately they were able to make their way out. By the time they arrived on scene, they had another problem. It dragged down the live powerline and also hit a gas line. So obviously a lot of work to do before they could start the clean up operation there. The the homeowners say they have lived in that house for 28 years in the front yard with a big reason why they bought that home and restored it in the first place. Saying they believe that the last four years of drought and then the wind storm were behind that collapse that the tree had been getting sicke ....
