On March 11, 2023 Pulaski County Sheriffs Office Deputies responded to Sheetz in Fairlawn in reference to a male who had brandished a firearm at multiple individuals in the area. Deputies were able to locate the suspect, Corey Dark Jr. 28 years of age from Radford, inside the store. Mr. Dark was armed with a bb pistol at this time and was quickly taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation it was determined that Mr. Dark had brandished the pistol at three people he then entered Sheetz demanding cigarettes.
