Nigerian Agencies Conduct Assessment Tour Of Bakin Kogi River In Adamawa Over Fear Of Flooding, Present Findings

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, and the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) on Thursday said their team had conducted an assessment tour of the Bakin Kogi River in Jimeta, Adamawa State and found that the water level did not pose any threat. The water level on the River Benue system in Lokoja, Kogi State also dropped overnight, NEMA said on Thursday.

Nigerians Arrested In Libya For Running Prostitution Ring As 126 Others Return

  No fewer than five Nigerian and Ghanaian nationals have been arrested by Security forces in Libya for allegedly running a brothel in a rented apartment. It was learnt that the suspects were arrested in Tajoura, a town in north-western Libya, on Monday, October 24, 2022. Migrant Rescue Watch, who made this known on their verified Twitter handle, noted that during a raid, officers seized home-made alcohol, illicit drugs, fake money and unauthorised wireless radio devices.

126 Nigerians Stranded In Libya Return Home

No fewer than 126 Nigerians who had been stranded in Libya have been received by the National Emergency Management Agency in Lagos.   The Nigerians were received at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Thursday at about 4.22pm.   The returnees brought back comprise 46 male adults, 62 female adults, two male and six female children, as well as four female and six male infants.
