Queensland Police have revealed an "intriguing" twist in the case of a mother and son who were allegedly stabbed to death by a man they only knew for "some months".
Wenhao Du, 20, known as Sam, and his mother Jifeng Eileen Liu, 47, were allegedly butchered with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver in a frenzied attack at their Brisbane home.
