KUALA LUMPUR: The second round of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine opt-in programme will open this week ahead of the arrival of a million doses this month, says Khairy Jamaluddin.
The coordinating minister for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme said the vaccine would be made available to the people in and out of the Klang Valley.
‘’We will open the opt-in registration for people in the Klang Valley and other states this time.
‘’People need not worry and we will make the announcement next week (this week), ’’ he said after a visit to the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) vaccine dispensing centre (PPV) here yesterday.

KUALA LUMPUR: The national opt-in programme for the AstraZeneca vaccine went off without a hitch as hundreds of people turned up to receive their Covid-19 jabs at vaccination centres in the Klang Valley.
At World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), people queued up with physical distancing being abided by at all times.
Nurses at the venue were also seen calling out the names of individuals according to the time slots they had selected last Sunday.

KUALA LUMPUR: As the opt-in programme for the AstraZeneca vaccine kicks off on Wednesday (May 5), those who had registered for the jab turned up in droves at the four vaccination centres to receive their jabs against Covid-19.
The AstraZeneca vaccine began to roll out on Wednesday at four vaccination centres - Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur and the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam.
In PWTC, locals and foreigners who had scheduled their appointments there were seen gathering as early as 10am to receive their vaccine shots.
