ISLAMABAD: The state-run National Institute of Health has begun the production of a single-dose Chinese coronavirus vaccine believing the initiative will help meet the country s vaccine needs.
The officials told ‘The News’ that a total of 124,000 CanSino jabs had been developed with China’s support and they would be rolled out in local packaging in the current week.
Pakistan was among the first countries to take part in the clinical trial of CanSino vaccine. Its local production comes after the successful clinical trial in the country.
The officials said Chinese firm CanSino Biologics Inc had provided the NIH with the raw material and technology for vaccine production and even sent in experts to oversee the exercise. ....

NIH Ready to Roll Out Pakistan-Made Vaccine
National Institute of Health (NIH) is all set to roll out the locally-produced CanSinoBIO’s COVID-19 vaccine.
According to details, NIH, in collaboration with Chinese scientists, has manufactured the first batch of the Chinese vaccine consisting of around 124,000 doses that will be made available soon in local packaging to augment the ongoing mass vaccination drive.

The next batches of the CanSinoBIO’s COVID-19 vaccine will be produced solely by the NIH. NIH had started the local manufacturing of the Chinese vaccine after its raw material reached Pakistan earlier this month.
National Control Lab for Biologicals of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) is also expected to examine the locally manufactured Chinese vaccine this week and grant the final approval for its use in the country. ....

The National Institute of Health (NIH) of Islamabad has begun the production of a single-dose Chinese coronavirus vaccine believing the initiative will help meet Pakistan s vaccine needs.
A total of 124,000 CanSino jabs have been developed with China’s support which would be rolled out in local packaging during the current week, an official said and added that Pakistan was among the first countries to take part in the clinical trial of CanSino vaccine. Its local production comes after the successful clinical trial in the country. ....

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) Replacing Fire Stations No. 2 and No. 4 continues to spark fireworks among La Crosse Common Council members, including an often-volatile debate Thursday night.
After a lengthy kerfuffle during a Zoom meeting, the council voted 8-4 to adopt an amended resolution to proceed with replacing Station No. 2 with a new building on La Crosse Street this year but put Station No. 4 on hold pending a decision on its proposed historic designation.
The resolution also approved moving ahead with an extensive remodeling of Fire Station No. 1, including the second-floor bathroom, locker room, and bunkrooms. ....
