The collaboration with Family Support Organization of Middlesex County will offer a public health and educational series intended for advocates, families, educators, mental health professionals and the community at large. The conversation will focus on what has been learned in a year, how COVID-19 has impacted mental and behavioral health in adolescents and adults, and how adverse childhood experiences can be reduced. Community Bulletin Board: the Suburban (for Feb. 17)   The Our Lady of Victories Knights of Columbus and Columbiettes will hold a Lenten Take Out Fish Fry at the Sayreville Knights’ hall, 775 Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. Dates are 4:30-7 p.m. Feb. 17 and 26; March 5, 12, 19 and 26; and April 2. Menu includes fried flounder or shrimp or combo platters. Includes salad, vegetable, French fries and dessert. Also available are fish sandwiches with French fries. Take out only.   A COVID-19 testing site has been set up in the front parking lot of the Sayreville Police Department, 1000 Main St., Sayreville. It will be running daily, with no out of pocket cost.

Community Bulletin Board: the Suburban (for Feb. 10)   New Jersey’s virtual Summer Camp Fair is open for registration, welcoming families who are looking for a safe and rewarding experience for their child. NJ Camp Fair’s goal, in collaboration with The American Camp Association, and the entire camp community, is to bring thoughts of a normal summer, and to make summer camp a reality. Summer camps are expected to re-open whether it is an in-person, hybrid or virtual camp. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 21, learn about sleep away, sports, adventure, travel, community service, academic, art, robotics, gymnastics, college prep, performing arts, language and nature camps. Meet live with camp directors and staff; view Camp in Action videos; read about, download information and apply for camp; learn about open houses, camp promotions and early bird discounts; and ask questions.

Mendlowitz, a CPA, adjunct professor in Fairleigh Dickinson’s MBA program, and emeritus partner in WithumSmith+Brown, will cover highlights of the past 54 centuries in a two-hour program.

Community Bulletin Board: the Suburban (for Jan. 13) Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, in cooperation with Knights of Columbus Council 4815, will hold a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Saint Thomas parish auditorium, 333 Route 18, Old Bridge. Donors are encouraged to pre-register online at smarturl.it/NJBS Drive using sponsor code 07755. Walk ins will be taken subject to availability and proper social distancing practices. All donors must wear a mask, will have their temperature checked at the door, and will be screened for any exposure to COVID-19. All donors must be between ages 16 and 75 and weigh at least 110 pounds.
