Edwin m. Lee International Terminal departures hall. Thank you very, very much. I have gone to a lot of you for support, and we loved ed, and thank you. Naomi, i have to say, reading through all of his accomplishments, i have to think all of you that worked with ed and for ed. We are on the outside, and we dont know how much work it is, but seeing all that was done, and so many of us are involved with so many pieces of it, and thats why ed was as good a mayor he was because of all of you, so thank you. [applause] thank you. So, i dont think mayor brown made it here this evening, i dont see him, but he did love mayor lee, he was very instrumental working with Steve Kavanaugh and our former governor, our governor and former mayor gavin newsom. Jason elliott just had a heart attack right there. [laughter] but in having and become the interim mayor when mayor newsom went ....
All right. Hello, sunny day. [cheers. ] so, so excited to be here with each and every one of you. I am sorry for those we dont have chairs for. We didnt expect a big crowd, but when you talk about the city budget, i guess everyone shows up. I am so glad to see the residents here. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the tours earlier of the unit. Today we, of course, through the tours saw the challenging conditions that people are living right in this neighborhood, just a few miles from our thriving downtown, and yet a world apart. As someone who grew up in Public Housing, i have lived these conditions. I know these conditions. I dont expect everyone to understand the challenges of Public Housing the way that i do or the way the residents of sunny dale do, but i do expect everyone to put in the time to understand. I wanted department heading and elected officials to come se ....
That there are people who are crossing on red lights and the bicyclists, and how to not block the crosswalk, you know, when they are trying to do work. There are so many issues, but if d. P. W. Wants to make sure to not to be overweight with the driver pickup trucks, it is not so much the overweight that is the problem, it is also the administration not wanting to admit what is going on. When workers have concerns, that is the real core of this issue. When they keep they will keep violating these overweight issues, the overloaded issues. Thank you.
