now, this person had punched two people, one of the victims so hard that that victim was knocked unconscious. the suspect took off from police in the area of 3rd and south. that s where the assault occurred. the female officer who was injured heard that call for help, police say, she had lights and sirens on when she was driving to the scene. she was traveling eastbound on south when she crossed 11th. that s when her patrol car was hit by a bread truck. police are calling this collision an accident. they say the 29-year-old delivery driver stayed onรง the scene, was cooperating fully with the investigation and was not injured. that 45-year-old police officer was transported to jefferson hospital with complaints of pain to her left side. she was talking and walking on her own when she left the scene. as for the victims of that assault, police tell me they did arrest that suspect. they say there was a positive i.d. made by those witnesses, by those victims that were injured. c
