Fred Riggers Disability Awareness Day<br/>Each year the Consortium for Idahoans with Disabilities (“CID”) sponsors the Fred Riggers Disability Awareness Day, at the Idaho State Capitol Rotunda. Fred was a champion for Idahoans with disabilities. For years, after he lost his sight, Fred attended the legislature to advocate for those with disabilities. <br/>This day is an opportunity for individuals with disabilities, caregivers, families, and organizations to go to the State Capitol and like Fred, advocate with their legislators on five key issues that are impacting Idaho’s disability community: Direct care workforce shortage, Children’s mental health, Housing crisis, Digital access, and Voting rights.
